Branding goes far beyond just placing a logo on the wall, especially for clients like Booking Holdings (formerly The Priceline Group). When Booking Holdings hired TPG to create a new office design for their Norwalk, Connecticut office, we used the client’s corporate mission “to help people experience the world” as the design inspiration for the project. Booking Holdings is comprised of a culmination of travel-related brands and services, including Priceline.com, Booking.com, Kayak.com, and OpenTable.com. Thus, it was only appropriate to design an energetic space full of experiential graphics and objects reflective of the services they provide.
Our Branding Studio performed extensive services for this project, including the creation of original artwork and signage, and the curation of hundreds of unique objects that celebrate the client’s mission and ultimately bring the creative vision to life. The travel-inspired branding begins in the reception area with a custom wooden feature wall adorned with a collection of handpicked souvenirs and decorative keepsakes from around the world. As the staff and company travel, they can expand upon the collection with their own personal memorabilia bringing the design concept full circle.
The travel theme is carried throughout the workplace in meeting rooms and feature walls embellished with souvenir collections such as decorative plates, matchbooks, Polaroid photographs, and license plates. Vinyl graphics complement the white walls and are mixed with 3D tactile objects to bring the space to life. Maps, globes, and travel books are dispersed throughout to inspire employees. The result is a branded workspace that encourages community among the staff, blurs the lines between work and play, and celebrates the company’s enthusiasm for global travel.
