TPG Architecture partnered with Rhone to reimagine the next phase of their retail experience. As the brand prepared to expand beyond menswear with the launch of its women’s line, Rhone sought a more inclusive, adaptable retail prototype that could evolve alongside its growing identity. Our team helped translate this vision into a physical space: one rooted in nature, connection, and well-being.
At their Hudson Yards location, Rhone took over an adjacent space and unified it with their existing store. TPG worked closely with the team to determine which elements from the original design were worth preserving and how best to integrate them into a new, cohesive environment. This new location is a warm, approachable space that softens the brand’s former industrial aesthetic while maintaining its premium sensibility. Signature design moments including a bespoke floor mosaic featuring the Captain Stitch, podiums that echo river stones, and subtle cross-stitch lighting bring Rhone’s story to life while enhancing customer engagement. The redesigned storefront creates a seamless and elevated presence, replacing a foldable industrial facade with a more refined and consistent expression of the brand.
Each Rhone store now serves a distinct audience, whether commuter, lifestyle, or performance-focused. Our work for the brand prioritizes flexibility empowering Rhone’s visual merchandising team to adapt product displays, host in-store events, and tell localized stories. From large-scale graphics to plant integrations and curated focal moments, these environments provide more than just a place to shop, they offer a place to connect.
