Founded in 1994, Lexington Partners is a global independent manager of secondary private equity and co-investment funds. In 2020, the firm came to TPG with the desire to re-envision and relocate its New York office. Lexington felt their existing space at 660 Madison was dated and did not provide the right amenities for a firm of their size and caliber. TPG worked with Lexington to create a transformative, sophisticated, and modern workplace across two floors at 399 Park Avenue.

At the onset, an employee survey was a crucial step to help inform the design and determine the priorities for staff amenities. The resulting office design features porcelain tile, bold stonework, and glass office fronts. Neutral accents throughout the space create a proper backdrop for Lexington’s exquisite art collection on display. The reception features a double-height ceiling, exposed beams, and a dramatic interconnecting stair. The wood-slatted wall paneling has concealed LED lighting to further elevate the arrival experience.

In the workplace, staff have single and shared private offices that are universally-sized for future planning. There are plenty of meeting spaces including a large boardroom, smaller collaboration rooms, and private phone booths. The training room has a demountable glass wall, efficiently configured to open into the adjacent café. Additionally, there is a new private fitness center and golf simulator on a lower level of the building.
