Major League Soccer’s new New York City headquarters celebrates the league’s growing cultural influence at a pivotal moment in its history, coinciding with its 30th anniversary and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Designed by TPG Architecture, the workplace reimagines the future of how MLS works while capturing the spirit, energy, and movement of the sport itself. Inspired by the concept of an “office as a stadium,” the design creates an immersive environment rooted in the identity of the league. From player-inspired arrival moments to the central “Midfield” hub and locker room-inspired environments, the space reflects the rhythm and ecosystem of MLS both on and off the pitch. Throughout the headquarters, core league pillars are expressed through immersive digital displays, a central trophy installation, and a living champions wall celebrating the history of the sport. Design elements draw inspiration from the geometry of the pitch, the form of the MLS trophy, and lighting details influenced by the original 1996 MLS official match ball, creating a cohesive visual language throughout the space. The headquarters also features a state-of-the-art Match Day Center Operations Hub, supporting league operations through technology, collaboration spaces, and real-time connectivity across the global game.
