Managing Executives Suzette Subance Ferrier and Shay Lam were joined by colleague Justin Mardex from JPMC to give a virtual talk at NeoConnect 2020. The topic, "Hospitality's Next Breakthrough is the Workplace" explored how hospitality principles will continue to serve as a catalyst for workplace design, company culture, and how the post-COVID world will impact these ideas holistically.
Here are some of the main takeaways:
- COVID-19 has created this new disrupted, scattered workforce and the physical workplace will be the key to reinforcing the sense of community and culture we are all craving - Incorporating hospitality elements will be the catalyst needed to create authentic human connections while maintaining a safe atmosphere for staff (in line with COVID protocols) - This will lead to a greater desire to improve the user experience through hospitality-driven design interventions such as: choice and control, wellbeing, service, biophilia, communication strategy, seamless collaboration, community management, and meal programs
