JUNIOR LEVEL POSITIONS

Junior Graphic Designer (posted 03/03/14)APPLY NOW

TPG Architecture’s Branding + Graphics studio is a collaborative team of designers and strategists that work on a wide range of projects from package and product design to extensive signage and wayfinding programs. The Studio is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to participate in a wide variety of environmental graphics, branding, and signage/wayfinding projects. This individual will help design and visualize new projects for clients, create files for production, strategize with the Studio Director and work with an interdisciplinary team of architecture, interior and graphic designers developing projects for a host of client sectors. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate closely with the Studio Director on all aspects of the design process
  • Assist in creating client presentations
  • Document wayfinding, signage and environmental graphic projects
  • Generate design intent documents, message schedules, and sign location plans
  • Prepare production files for fabrication
Qualifications:
  • Highly-attuned attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and communication skills
  • An open mind and positive personality
  • An ability to work well and multi-task in a team environment that is extremely fast-paced
Educational and Technical Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of graphic design work experience preferably in a design studio, architecture/interior design firm or similar; environmental graphic design experience a big plus
  • 4-year college degree (BFA or BS in Graphic Design)
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Experience in AutoCAD and SketchUp are desirable but not required

The Studio is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Graphic Designer to participate in a wide variety of environmental graphics, branded environment, and signage/wayfinding projects. This individual will be working with an interdisciplinary team of architecture, interior and graphic designers developing projects for a host of client sectors. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating closely with the Studio Director on all aspects of the design process
  • Assist in leading a junior designer / freelancer
  • Managing client assignments and teams
  • Assist in creating client presentations
  • Documenting and managing wayfinding, signage and environmental graphic projects
  • Generating design intent documents, message schedules, and sign location plans
  • Supervising fabrication and installation
Qualifications:
  • Highly-attuned attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills, communication and presentation skills
  • Keen design sensibility with a knack concepting three-dimensional built solutions
  • An open mind and positive personality
  • An ability to work well and multi-task in a team environment that is extremely fast-paced
