Mack-Cali Realty Corporation is a real estate investment trust with properties throughout the Northeast. Mack-Cali is the owner of River|Centre, a six-building class-A office complex in Red Bank, New Jersey. Located at 331 Newman Springs Road, the corporate complex is conveniently located right off the Garden State Parkway and offers tenants a campus environment with excellent access to highways and amenities. TPG was awarded the opportunity to provide architectural services for the renovation of Mack-Cali’s Buildings 4, 5 and 6 within their River|Centre complex.

The previous space was very dark and dated, and the client wanted to brighten and freshen up the overall look and feel of their buildings. TPG’s design team worked alongside the property owner and manager to enhance their existing complex’s common areas and amenity space. The scope of work for this project included repositioning Building 4 into a dedicated amenity building. Building 4 features a fitness center with showers and locker rooms, a ground-floor full-service café with a variety of seating options, and a lounge area with a TV, pantry, and game room. This amenity building is intended to support the 6 campus buildings and encourage wellness and fitness.

For Buildings 5 and 6, the scope of work includes updating building corridors, common restrooms, elevator lobby and cabs, lobby atriums, façade, and walking paths between buildings. Building 5 will also feature a smaller café adjacent to the atrium. Updating these public areas and providing additional amenities would not only modernize and reposition the buildings but help to attract potential tenants to move-in.
