TPG client receives naming rights to the Sears Tower
The Sears Tower in Chicago, tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, was renamed Willis Tower, for our repeat client, last Wednesday, July 15, 2009. After completing the New York office for this global insurance broker (100,000 sf at World Financial Center), TPG was selected by Willis to complete 140,000 square feet within the great Chicago landmark.
Joseph J. Plumeri, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Willis Group Holdings and Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley officially introduced the new name together at a ceremony at Willis Tower attended by Chicago business, community and government leaders, the building’s owners and management, and Willis’ Chicago-area Associates.
