TPG Architecture Promotes Thomas Hughes, Gladys Yue, and Ronald Alalouf to Principal

To support the firm’s momentum and guide its direction for the future, TPG announced the promotion of three long-time employees to Principal. “These promotions are an investment in the future of TPG Architecture,” said James Phillips, Founder of TPG. “They reflect the dedication and talent of three highly valued employees. We acknowledge and support the next generation and know that the future of TPG promises to be creative, intuitive, and dedicated to making TPG the best firm possible.”

Thomas Hughes, RA, has been with TPG since 1999 and has 20 years of professional experience working with companies to reimagine and enhance their workspaces. He has managed complex renovations and new workplace projects for clients such as Havas Worldwide, Barclays Capital, and BlueMountain Capital Management, assembling a deep expertise in workplace design for a wide range of clients. In addition to project oversight and quality control, Tom focuses on forging and strengthening client relationships, and as Principal he will concentrate heavily on business development and account management. Tom earned his Bachelor of Architecture at The Catholic University of America.

Gladys Yue joined the firm in 2004 and has been instrumental in the creation and expansion of TPG’s Branding & Graphics Studio. As a practicing design leader for nearly 15 years, Gladys is an award winning graphic designer who turns the built environment into a communications touch point that weaves a story between brands and the spaces they inhabit. Her notable projects include work with Unilever, Healthfirst, HBO, CUNY, and the National Hockey League. As Principal, Gladys will continue evolving the Branding & Graphics Studio’s capabilities while also focusing on business development. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from Parsons The New School for Design.

With 14 of his 18 years of professional experience at TPG, Ronald Alalouf has worked across many project types including corporate interiors, landlord/developer services, hospitality, and retail. His project leadership has focused on retail flagship locations and national rollouts for global luxury brands such as Belstaff, Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade, Max Mara, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Valentino. With a commitment to delivering value to clients, Ron will continue directing retail projects while focusing on enhancing TPG’s performance as a business enterprise in his new role as Principal. He received both his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology and Master of Science in Energy Management from The New York Institute of Technology.
